Hungarian Seiten Stew
A favorite Hungarian Seiten Stew recipe from the Pritikin Center.
Yield: 12 people
Materials
- 2 pounds seitan
- 2 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic chopped
- 1 cup onions (vidalia) diced
- 1 teaspoon ginger minced
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 8 ounces knudsen very veggie juice
- 1 cup vegetable stock
- 2 pounds potato peeled & diced
- 2 each carrot peeled & diced
- 2 tablespoons fresh thyme picked & chopped
- 1 cup green pepper diced
- 1 each red peppers diced
- 1 each yellow pepper diced
- 1 tablespoon corn starch
Instructions
- In a hot stock pot brown seitan, carrot, onion, garlic & peppers.
- When browned add remaining ingredients and cook for 45 minutes over low heat.
- Serve hot
