For NBC’s The Today Show, Chef Anthony prepared a cooking workshop featuring healthy Thanksgiving recipes.  There are winners here for all your dinner guests, including dessert!

Chef Anthony Stewart has won accolades worldwide, including five gold medals in top culinary competitions, for his masterful use of healthy whole foods.  Joyously and ingeniously, Chef Anthony creates cuisine that is pleasing to both palate and heart.

When not in the kitchen, Chef is in the cooking school at the Pritikin Longevity Center, and has inspired thousands “to have some fun!”

“For most people, cooking is a burdensome, time-consuming affair. Not so, I say! Our Pritikin guests leave amazed at how simple and delicious healthy cooking can be.

“Food is my passion, and I love nothing more than helping others catch that passion.”

For guests at Pritikin, the passion begins in the dining room, where they sample innovative dishes such as Citrus Fennel Mango Salad and Roasted Bison With Farro, and certainly, the healthy Thanksgiving recipes featured here: Sweet Potato & Apple Salad, Roasted Turkey Breast, Orange Cranberry Salsa, and Chocolate Ginger Mousse.

Since 1975, more than 100,000 people have attended the residential programs at the Pritikin Longevity Center, and more than 100 studies have been published in peer-reviewed medical journals documenting the Pritikin Program’s success in helping thousands lose excess weight and improve conditions like heart disease, high blood pressure, and diabetes.

Roasted Turkey and Vegetables

Surrounded by fresh herbs and roasted veggies, your turkey breast is sure to be succulent and flavor-rich, but very low in calories and fat – only about 120 calories and 1 gram of fat per three-ounce serving. The perfect Thanksgiving celebration for both taste buds and heart!

Sweet Potato & Apple Salad

This recipe is always a hit in our cooking school at Pritikin. Enjoy it not only as a salad but as a dessert. For dessert, slip it into the freezer just before you sit down for your main course. By dessert time, it’s nicely chilled.

Orange Cranberry Salsa

What jazzy flavor in this salsa – and no added salt. What a difference compared to many salsas on supermarket shelves, which can ratchet up 200 milligrams or more of sodium per serving. Our Pritikin salsa is a winner for both palate and blood pressure.

Chocolate Ginger Mousse

A sinfully tasting (yet oh-so good for you) dessert. Regular chocolate mousse can tally up 8 grams of artery-clogging saturated fat (more saturated fat than many cheeseburgers!). There is zero saturated fat in Pritikin’s Chocolate Ginger Mousse. Wow!
